  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups rolled oats old-fashioned
  • 1 tsp salt

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Combine the butter, sugar, milk, and cocoa powder in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk constantly until the butter melts.
  2. Once it reaches a rolling boil, let it boil undisturbed for exactly 1 minute.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract until smooth. Then stir in the oats and salt until evenly mixed.
  4. Allow the dough to sit in the saucepan for 5 minutes.
  5. Using a 1-tablespoon cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of dough onto lined baking sheets.
  6. Refrigerate the baking sheets for 30 to 60 minutes until the cookies are firm.
  7. Remove the cookies from the refrigerator and transfer them to an airtight container.
